Getting to us
Stracta Apartments Orustustaðir are locatated just south off the Ringroad (Road 1 – Þjóðvegur) 15km (9.3 miles) east of the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur.
To get to us turn south off Road 1 just after Fossálar Waterfall and just before the famous Orustuhóll (Battle Hill) landmark.
Please note that our location is rural and we recommend guests rent a 4×4 vehicle during winter.

Once you are on the gravel road in the image above, follow the road, passing a farmstead, until you reach us. The distance you will need to travel on the gravel road is 7km (4.3 miles). It’s good to keep in mind that the moss covered lava field should always be on your left. We recommend guests rent a 4×4 vehicle during the winter months.
